This ‘rugged’
Upwind Turbine
range is based on 2 years of real-life testing and development in
Warwickshire and the Uplands of Scotland. Using our unique Permanent Magnet Generators, combined with our Hi-Spec Wind Turbine Blade Sets, these furling turbines create very useful power in low wind conditions, and over 1000W in winds of 12.5m/s. Available in 12V, 24V & 48V DC versions, they are suitable for battery charging, water /air heating etc. We don’t recommend, nor will we authorise the installation of any of our turbines in ‘building-mounted’ installations, other than for steel-framed and other industrial buildings. These turbines are tower-top ready, and will fit on to a standard scaffold pole but require a certain degree of DIY skill and must follow the guidelines in the Turbine Guide For a complete guide to towers, system designs, see the Turbine Guide Your turbine will be supplied in 2 shipping containers, weighing a total of 30Kg, and you will be required to attach the tailfin and blades to the main turbine housing. All instructions will be supplied to guide you through the simple assembly, and you should be ready to mount and use your turbine in only a few hours. For battery charging applications we suggest that you use a suitable charge controller to prevent your batteries from becoming overcharged. • Mechanically furling tail fin for high wind protection See

![]() ENERGISTAR has been selling these Turbines for around two years now and can recommend them as extremely strongly built with a very large power output in situations that would have seen lesser turbines already furled. The MiniWind 2200 series is part of our Rugged Downwind turbine range, and incorporates our unique RC2200-105 PM Generators. The MiniWind 2200-300 High Voltage Turbine Controller is fitted with a 100A 3-Phase Bridge Rectifier, giving a high voltage >300VDC output for Grid Tied Systems
Supplied with our 1.8m rotors
suitable for the higher wind sites or
2.6m
rotors suitable for average wind sites for the same price
for this offer period, and variable
blade pitch angles, these turbines can be adjusted by the user to suit both
low and high wind speed sites. These Downwind machines are our "premium
level" turbines and the unique ability of all of our turbines to be "best
matched" to each installation site gives our turbines the flexibility that
our customers have requested. These rugged turbines are built to last, using
high quality components, that have been chosen specifically for the task.
For high
wind sites, or
coastal
locations, using
the 6 bladed 1.8m rotors these turbines will provide a long lasting,
reliable power source. Incorporating our rugged RC2200 PM Generators, these
turbine can operate at much higher wind speeds, making them ideal for use on
exposed sites. For normal sites where wind strengths are not so severe we
recommend the 3 Blade 2.6m rotors.

MiniWind Hydraulic Power Unit + Ram Used with our unique Hydraulic Sectional Towers, these pumps provide an easy way to raise and lower your turbine. Simply fit the 3000psi Ram to the tower, connect the ram to the pump via the quick release connectors supplied, loosen the tower securing bolts and lower the tower. Operated by simply pushing a simple valve, these pumps take the hard work out of lowering the entire weight of the tower and turbine. Fitted with "hose burst" valves and other safety features to provide a safe and reliable way to service your turbine. Hydraulic Power unit with Ram - £995 (£60 p&p) |
