Futurenergy 1KW Permanent Magnet Generators
With a wide variety of uses, from wind and water turbines,
to fuel-powered generators, we are offering these PMG's to anyone who wishes
to adapt them into their own products.
These PMGs were designed originally for wind turbine use
(having been in production for over 6 years) and have been optimised for
that area, they utilise neodymium magnets and are configured as a 3 phase AC
brushless generator, the output will need to be rectified for use. They
produce a lot of energy for a 7kg unit running at a max of around 600rpm and
have been specifically designed to do so. They normally rely on wind for
cooling (and the fact that wind does not blow at full power continuously) so
that we suggest to people using them in fixed situations to de-rate them ie
under run them, to that end we recommend keeping an eye on the case
temperature and keep it under 100c. - which will lead to a long and reliable
life.
Supplied with 3-Phase power output cables (approx 15cm in length), 20mm axle
with a "flat" and "recess" for securing, and 5 x 8mm nuts, washers and split
rings on the faceplate mounting bolts. You will need to rectify the output
of the 3-phases to produce DC for battery charging and other applications.
Our PMG's are not guaranteed for use with your own rectifier solutions, and
so we can supply a 3-Phase 100A Bridge Rectifier Kit for this item for an
additional
£35.99 with the PMG.

Please Note that the
generator is to be held by the stainless shaft, it is the white drum that
rotates (think of it as a stub axle & brake drum onto which you would
normally attach a wheel) The black
cylinder is a hub adaptor for our blade set and can be removed and replaced
with a pulley or gear. The shaft is machined with a flat and a large groove
around the end for fixing. We would suggest mounting the shaft into a thick
heavy tube mounted on a substantial bracket/fixing with 2
very heavy duty grub screws/bolts, screwed through the outer tube onto the
flat and 2 more on either side of the shaft groove. Please do not drill
through the shaft as the 3 phase AC output wires pass through it!
